Teamwork makes the dream work. What should we keep in mind to make it possible?

What do employees need when they come to work? A workplace where work is done in peace. It not only saves time for the organisation but also the employee. Teamwork, whether it exists in an office only environment or a hybrid one, needs individuals with a good heart.

I asked a few employees on what they felt hindered teamwork the most.

1. “Credit hungry team-mates are boring”

2. “I’d rather work from home than hang around toxic team-mates”

3. “I prefer transparency between team-mates. Otherwise, it’s no fun”

7. “Flat organisations are a myth. They sound fancy and encouraging at first. But, when work grows, egos inflate 100x”

8. “Unless everyone does not believe in each other’s growth, teams will fail. Employee attrition will be high.”

9. “Core values that aren’t practiced will lead to corrosion in company culture.”

10. “Leaders that fear candid confessions, have already failed as leaders.”

Organisation culture matters. When a team works together everyone profits. Leaders who make a serious effort in building company culture have the power to transform organisations into a great place to work.
